AAS Transfer Option

The B.S. Construction Management – AAS Transfer Option is a bachelor’s degree completion program for students who have completed a relevant technical degree at a community college. To be eligible for the AAS Transfer Option, students must first meet all requirements and gain admission to East Carolina University from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Students must submit transcripts demonstrating successful completion of an Associate in Applied Science degree from a North Carolina Community College in one of the following areas:

  1. Building Construction Technology (A35140)
  2. Architectural Technology (A40100)
  3. Civil Engineering Technology (A40140)
  4. Construction Mgmt Technology (A35190)
  5. Sustainability Technologies (A40370)

Upon admission to the Construction Management AAS Transfer Option, 27 semester hours of introductory coursework in the major will be waived and students will be required to complete the remaining 40 semester hours of advanced CMGT coursework.

In addition to the required CMGT courses, students are required to meet all of the Major Cognate and General Education requirements. Transfer of these courses will be determined based on individual course equivalency as set forth by the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the University Registrar. 

This program allows students to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management in as few as four semesters. The specific number of credits required to graduate will be determined based on each student’s individual transcript.  

To graduate with a Bachelor’s degree, students must earn minimum 30 semester hours from East Carolina University and minimum 60 semester hours from a senior college.
