Engineering Computer Requirements

The Department of Engineering recommends that student purchase a machine that meets or exceeds meets the Midrange PC specifications as described on the ECU ITCS Computer Requirements Page.

Apple laptops, iPads, Android-based devices, Linux systems, and other non-Windows platforms are not appropriate for the mathematical, modeling, and analysis software used in the program.

Note that we do NOT recommend ARM-based processors (Snapdragon).
