Message from the Chair

Welcome to ECU’s Department of Construction Management. Our program is housed under the College of Engineering and Technology and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology classrooms and laboratory facilities. We have a dedicated body of full-time faculty members supported by qualified and experienced adjunct faculty who offer our students and our program a blend of expertise based on their broad industry experience and academic qualifications. Our program became the first accredited Construction Management programs in North Carolina, as rated by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE), and enjoys an excellent reputation within the construction industry. We take pride in offering our undergraduate and graduate students a well-rounded education as well as an opportunity for professional development through various activities involving many professional organizations such as NAHB, AGC, CMAA, USGBC and WICAT.

Our department is fortunate to have a very active Industry Advisory Board which manifests its support by generously donating their time, expertise and other resources. Through the board’s involvement, students have an opportunity to learn more about the actual happenings in the industry as well as obtain advice on career placement and internship opportunities. The Industry Advisory Board’s ongoing support helps us to grow and continually enhance our department’s standing and reputation.
