About the Department of Computer Science

Department Vision

The Computer Science department strives for excellence in teaching and research. The faculty in our department are engaged in research that contributes to expanding the frontiers of the discipline, and often collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines and with industry partners. The department provides a unique educational opportunity for students to achieve excellence through participation in the latest research, while getting involved in the broader international research community.

In addition, the thorough, rigorous classes in our academic programs in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Data Science train the next generation of innovators to solve real-world problems that bring positive change to our world. They prepare our students for the jobs of tomorrow in academia and industry, ready to adapt to the rapid pace of technological changes.
