Distribution and Logistics represents professions concerned with the movement and delivery of goods throughout the world. In the College of Engineering and Technology, the distribution and logistics program provides a unique combination of coursework, technology, and hands-on learning to prepare students for successful careers in the supply chain. Our classes are taught by professional faculty with industry experience, interactive teaching styles, and a strong network of career opportunities for graduates.

Bachelor of Science in Distribution & Logistics

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, supply chain related occupations may include logisticians, purchasing, transportation/distribution managers, supply chain analysts, and more. In 2016, the median salary for these professionals was $74,160; and the job outlook, on average, is positive at 22-percent growth. U.S. News and World Report states that distribution and logistics is one of the top 25 career choices for 2018.

In 2024, the Industrial Distribution and Logistics on-line degree was ranked sixth in the US by SupplyChainGuide.org, an organization committed to providing “an unbiased view of education options. ….using a wide variety of sources for rankings, including government data, external accolades like Gartner Supply Chain Top 25, and manual program research.”  The accolade is recognition of an online degree started in 2009 that continues to improve and provide high-value education in all things relating to the supply chain, including domestic and international transportation, supplier sourcing and procurement, warehouse and inventory control, relationship sales, and enterprise resource planning.

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate technical product information and business concepts through graphics, oral presentations, and written documents.

  • Understand professional, ethical, global, and social responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and lead through experiences gain in student project teams, networking opportunities, and professional organizations.
