Palo Alto Networks hosts beta certification exam

Students and faculty participated in a beta certification test in December.

On Dec. 8, East Carolina University and Palo Alto Networks hosted a Palo Alto Networks beta certification exam through Pearson VUE. Twenty-one ECU students and Faculty in the Information and Technology Program, Department of Technology Systems, College of Engineering and Technology, participated in the beta certification test for the new Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) certification.

Palo Alto Networks representatives said, “The PCNSA certification validates the knowledge and skills required for network security administrators responsible for deploying and operating Palo Alto Networks next generation firewalls. PCNSA-certified individuals have demonstrated knowledge of the Palo Alto Networks NGFW feature set…”

Everyone received a Palo Alto Networks T-shirt. Successful participants will receive the PCNSA certification, while everyone else will receive a free voucher to take the certification exam at a later date.
