IDIS students visit Bosch distribution center

Department of Technology Systems teaching instructor Natalie Aman and students from the Industrial Distribution and Logistics program visited the BSH Home Appliances Central Distribution Center in New Bern on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

“This central distribution center is nearly 1 million square feet, has 59 dock doors, and product moves through the central distribution center from all over the world. Products include dishwashers, ovens, oven ranges and other home appliances. They are one of the largest employers in N.C., moving millions of products through the distribution center in New Bern each year,” Aman said. “They were VERY impressed that our students work with SAP in classes in the Industrial Distribution and Logistics program since they use SAP at BSH. We have several students working there now and some starting in the summer for internships as well.”
