The College of Engineering and Technology recognized faculty and students with College Research Awards as the spring semester concluded.

The honorees include five faculty members, five graduate students and eight undergraduate students.

The college received $5.47 million in sponsored research awards during the fiscal year.

Dr. Harry Ploehn, dean of the college, said faculty received recognition for the impact of research.

“Primary criteria are not the number of publications, not the number of proposals or number of research awards that are won, but it’s engaging students, building research collaborations and engaging with our regional partners,” he said. “Those are the primary criteria, and all of these faculty deserve our congratulations and recognition.”

Ploehn said students were honored for overall excellence, magnitude of their accomplishments and impact.

“They have achieved great things in their research, and we’re looking forward to more accomplishments in the years to come,” he said.

Those receiving College of Engineering and Technology Research Awards and their department are:
