Shanyue Guan, Ph.D.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Guan’s owns a multidisciplinary background of civil engineering and electrical engineering. He enjoys teaching for both undergraduate and graduate students. He is interested to teach engineering mechanics including statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials; control and instrumentation, numerical analysis, and some cross-disciplinary knowledge.

Research Interests

Dr. Guan’s research background is in general civil and coastal engineering. His primary research interests are smart structures, coastal infrastructures, multi-hazard mitigations, resilient and sustainable infrastructure and Internet-of-Things applications.
