Teaching Interests
Dr. Yang Liu’s teaching interest is in the areas of thermo-fluids, energy and measurement technologies. The topics include fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, thermal-fluids systems, and advanced measurement techniques for Fluids-Thermal Applications.
Research Interests
Dr. Yang Liu’s research interests include fundamental studies on challenging thermal-fluids problems, and development of advanced flow diagnostic techniques and instrumentation with multidisciplinary applications. His current research focuses are: 1) Aircraft icing physics; 2) Anti-/de-icing technologies; 3) Complex thermal flow in fuel injection and renewable energy; and 4) Unsteady heat transfers and inter-facial dynamics in multiphase flow.
